Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 4, 2026
Rhino Movers LLC, which operates Rhino Piano Movers and rhino-movers.com (“Rhino,” “we,” “us”), moves pianos in Los Angeles and Southern California and between Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through rhino-movers.com (the “Site”), including our online quote form, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It also covers information you give us when you call or text us about a request made on the Site. It does not cover websites or services of other companies, even if we link to them.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us in the quote form
- Your piano: its type (upright, baby grand, grand or other), a description if you choose “other,” and its make and model if you add them.
- Your move: the pickup and drop-off addresses — as you type them and as confirmed by our address check, including the ZIP code and map coordinates — the floor, whether there are steps, a porch or an elevator, the number of steps, your preferred date and arrival window (or that your dates are flexible), and the price estimate shown to you.
- Your contact details: your name, your mobile phone number, how you would like us to contact you, and your email address if you choose email.
- Photos and notes, if you add them (up to six photos). Photos are resized and saved again in your browser before they are sent, which removes the location and camera details that phones usually store inside photo files.
- Your agreement that we may contact you about the request.
Information about where your visit came from (see “Advertising and attribution information” below) is sent together with your request.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical details of requests to the Site, such as the IP address, browser and device type, the page or file requested, the referring page, and the date and time.
- Abuse protection. We use your IP address briefly to limit how many requests can be sent from one connection. It is held in temporary memory, not in a database.
- Address checks. As you type an address, the text you type is sent to Google to suggest matching addresses. To confirm a street address, it is sent to the U.S. Census Bureau’s public geocoding service. ZIP code locations come from tables on our own Site.
- Analytics and advertising tools from Google, and website usage analytics from Microsoft Clarity — see section 4.
Advertising and attribution information
If you arrive by clicking an ad or a link with tracking tags, the Site records in your browser’s local storage the tags in the link (such as utm_source, utm_campaign and utm_term), ad click identifiers (such as Google’s gclid), the landing page, the referring website and the time — for your first visit and for your latest visit that came from an ad or another website. This information stays in your browser until you clear the Site’s data, and it is sent with your quote request so that we know which ad or link brought you to us.
Booking records
When your request reaches our team, we also keep a short record of it: its reference number and time, the type of piano, the price estimate shown, where your visit came from (including ad click identifiers) and, later, whether it became a booking and its final price. This record does not include your name, phone number, email, addresses, notes or photos.
Sources: you; your browser or device; the address-check services (which return the location of an address you enter); and the ad or link you came from.
2. How we use information
- to prepare your price estimate and check our calendar;
- to contact you about your request — by the method you chose and, when needed to arrange the move, by phone or text;
- to plan and carry out your move, including scheduling, routing, and bringing the right crew and equipment;
- to provide customer service and keep records of quotes and moves;
- to keep the Site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix problems;
- to understand how people use the Site and to measure and improve our advertising;
- to comply with the law and to protect our rights.
When you agree in the form to be contacted, that agreement covers the request you are sending. We do not use it to send you marketing messages.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information as follows:
- Our team. The owner and the staff and movers who work on your request see the information they need for it.
- Service providers that we use to run the Site and our business:
- Vercel — website hosting, server functions, server logs and storage of the booking records described in section 1;
- Telegram — the messaging service our team uses to receive requests. Your request, including your contact details, addresses, notes, photos and where your visit came from, is delivered to our team’s Telegram account and stored on Telegram’s servers;
- Google — address suggestions (Google Maps Platform), Google Analytics and Google Ads (see section 4);
- Microsoft Clarity — masked website session recordings and heatmaps (see section 4);
- the U.S. Census Bureau geocoding service — address confirmation;
- the calendar and scheduling tools we use to plan moves.
- Legal and safety reasons. When required by law, court order or other legal process; to protect our rights, property or safety, or those of our customers or others; and to investigate fraud or abuse.
- Business transfers. If our business is sold, merged or otherwise transferred, information may be transferred to the new owner, who will be required to handle it in line with this policy or to tell you about any change.
We do not share personal information with other companies for their own direct marketing purposes.
4. Cookies, local storage and usage analytics
Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads
The Site uses these Google services to count visits, understand how the Site is used, and measure which ads lead to quote requests and calls. They use cookies (for example _ga and _ga_* for analytics and _gcl_* for ads) and similar technologies. Google may collect information about your visit, such as your IP address (from which Google estimates an approximate location), your device and browser, the pages you view, and advertising identifiers. Other companies’ tools, such as Google’s, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites.
We send Google these events: starting the quote, reaching each step of the quote (with the step number), sending a request (with the type of piano and the price estimate shown, in US dollars), and tapping our phone number or text link (with where on the page). We do not send your name, phone number, email, addresses, notes or photos to Google Analytics or Google Ads.
If a request that came from a Google ad becomes a booking, we tell Google Ads the ad click identifier, the time of the booking and its value, so that we can see which ads lead to jobs. No contact details are included.
Google Ads can use cookies to build lists of people who visited the Site so that we can show Rhino ads to them on other websites and apps (remarketing). Under some state privacy laws, this kind of advertising may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors scroll, click and use our pages, and to improve the quote process. Clarity reconstructs page visits as session recordings and produces heatmaps. Microsoft receives website usage and technical information, such as the page URL, referring page, device and browser information, interactions, and IP address. URLs may include advertising campaign tags or click identifiers.
We mask the quote area before recording, including contact information, addresses, notes, uploaded photos and the request result. We send Clarity only fixed interaction event names and quote step numbers, not customer identities or quote field values. Clarity cookies are disabled in our project; visits to different pages are therefore not linked into a persistent multi-page recording. Read the Microsoft Privacy Statement for Microsoft's handling of information.
You can turn off Clarity for this browser: . This choice is stored on this device; clearing site data removes it. Our quote form and Google conversion measurement continue to work.
Local storage on your device
The Site keeps the advertising and attribution information described in section 1 in your browser’s local storage (under the name rhino.attribution.v1), and uses session storage to remember your place on the page while you browse.
Your choices
- Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser. Clearing the Site’s data also clears our local storage. The quote form keeps working without them.
- Google Analytics opt-out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Google ad personalization: myadcenter.google.com.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a GPC signal, the Site turns off Google advertising cookies and ad personalization for your visit, and does not load Clarity. Google Analytics still counts the visit, without advertising cookies.
- Do Not Track. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal with value 1, we do not load Clarity. This signal does not change Google measurement. We honor Global Privacy Control as described above.
5. How long we keep information
- Quote requests (the messages our team receives in Telegram): we keep them as long as we need them to respond to you, carry out and follow up on the move, and keep business records, and then delete them.
- Server logs at our hosting provider are kept for a limited period set by the provider. If a request cannot be delivered to our team, a copy of it may be written to these logs so that it is not lost.
- Booking records (section 1) are kept as long as we need them to measure our advertising and keep business records.
- Attribution information in your browser stays until you clear the Site’s data.
- Google Analytics keeps detailed event data for the period set in our Google Analytics settings (up to 14 months). Google Ads data is kept under Google’s policies.
We may keep information longer when we need it to provide a service you asked for, to meet legal, tax or accounting requirements, to resolve disputes or claims, or to keep the Site secure, and copies may remain in backups until they are overwritten.
6. Your choices and rights
Access, correction and deletion
To ask what information we have about your request, to correct it, or to delete it, call or text us at (747) 245-9992. Tell us your name, the phone number you used and roughly when you sent the request.
To protect your information, we confirm that the request comes from you by matching it to the phone number or email address in our records — for example, by calling or texting that number. We will not ask for more than we need to do that. If we cannot confirm your identity, we may not be able to complete the request.
Deleting information we need may prevent us from preparing your quote or carrying out your move. We may keep information when the law requires or allows it, as described in section 5. Analytics data is linked to cookie identifiers rather than to your name, so we usually cannot find it from your contact details; you can clear cookies or use the opt-outs in section 4.
Calls and texts
We call or text you about your request. If you no longer want us to call or text you about it, tell us — by replying to our message or by calling us — and we will stop.
California residents
California’s Online Privacy Protection Act requires this policy to describe the information we collect and how we share it, how you can review and ask to change your information, and how we respond to browser signals — see sections 1, 3, 4 and 6. If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to our business, California residents also have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to ask us to delete or correct it; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (our Site treats a Global Privacy Control signal as that request — see section 4); and not to be treated differently for using these rights. You can make a request yourself or through an authorized agent with your signed permission, using the contact details above. We do not share personal information with other companies for their own direct marketing purposes.
Other states
If you live in another state that gives you privacy rights, contact us using the details above.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), checking every request on our server, removing location details from photos, and limiting who on our team can see requests. No website or online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information sent to us. Please do not include sensitive information — such as Social Security, bank account or payment card numbers — in notes or photos.
8. Children
The Site and our services are for adults arranging piano moves. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. If we make a material change, we will also post a notice on the Site before the change takes effect, and if the change affects how we use information from a request you already sent, we may also tell you directly.
