What your estimate includes
Piano moving from Los Angeles to San Francisco and from the Bay Area back to Southern California. Plan pickup and delivery together, with route pricing and dates reviewed for your instrument.
These are the published route prices. Confirm instrument size, stairs and unusual access with the team. Local starting prices do not apply.
Unusual instruments and routes outside standard pricing receive a personal quote.
A scheduled run or a dedicated trip
Rhino’s published schedule supports runs between Southern California and the Bay Area, usually about once a month. A scheduled run carries several pianos; it has specific pickup days and limited capacity.
When a suitable scheduled run is available, the calendar can offer a $150 reduction from the route price. The discount depends on joining that run, not simply choosing any date in the month.
A dedicated trip can be requested on other dates when the crew has the required time available. The form checks dates against the schedule; pickup and delivery arrangements still need confirmation.
Pickup day is not a delivery promise
A typical scheduled run loads in the Los Angeles area first, delivers in the Bay Area and collects return pianos the following day, then returns south. The actual plan depends on the run and the confirmed jobs.
The date you choose is your pickup date. Have the delivery date and access window confirmed separately before booking building access or making travel plans. This page does not promise same-day delivery or a fixed monthly departure.
For the reverse Bay Area-to-Los Angeles route, enter the Bay Area address as pickup. The direction matters because the two ends of a scheduled run have different pickup days.
What to have ready for a route quote
- Both full addresses, including the pickup direction.
- Piano type, make or model, and a full photo.
- For a grand, its length and any existing hardware or finish issues.
- Floors, step counts, elevators and photos of tight access at both ends.
- Preferred pickup date, flexibility and any delivery deadline.
- Building reservations, parking and the people providing access.
If the addresses or instrument fall outside what the form can price, use the call or text option to have the route reviewed. Do not treat a local estimate as a long-distance quote.
Your questions, answered
Do you also move pianos from San Francisco to Los Angeles?
Yes. The published corridor supports both directions. Put the Bay Area address in pickup for a southbound move; run pickup days differ by direction.
Are these interstate moves?
No. Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area are both in California. This page covers that California route.
Is there a guaranteed monthly departure?
No fixed departure is promised here. Runs are usually about once a month, with dates and capacity checked in the calendar and confirmed with the team.
What price applies to a grand piano on this route?
The published baby grand and grand route price is $1,795. Have the piano’s size and access reviewed, and confirm whether a scheduled-run discount is available for your date.
