    What your estimate includes

A tall cabinet, a compact spinet or a console: tell us which upright you have and how it reaches the truck. We plan the move around the instrument and both homes.

Includes the first 10 miles and 3 steps at each end. Distance, access and the moving date affect your quote.

Choose Upright in the quote form. Add the make, model and a photo if you are unsure which type you have.

Unusual instruments and routes outside standard pricing receive a personal quote.

Protect the cabinet. Plan the path.

Blankets protect the cabinet, keyboard and finish. The lid and fallboard are secured, and the piano stays upright on a piano dolly.

Before moving day, describe the path from the piano to the pickup point and from the truck to its new position. The narrowest doorway and the tightest turn can matter more than the distance between the homes.

What to send for an accurate quote

    • A full view of the piano, including its base and sides.
    • The pickup and delivery addresses, with the floor at each end.
    • The number of steps, any turns or landings, and photos of the staircase.
    • Doorway, hallway and elevator dimensions where the route looks tight.
    • Parking restrictions, steep paths or a long carry from the building.

A smaller upright still needs a clear route. If the piano has a loose panel, damaged caster or recent repair, mention it so the team can plan the handling.

Across town or within the same home

Rhino handles local piano moves across Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura counties. For a move within one building or property, the published price is $50 less, with a $225 minimum. Additional steps still matter.

For an upright going to or from the Bay Area, use the LA–San Francisco route page. Its pricing and pickup planning are different from a local move.

Before arrival, clear the top of the piano and the walking route, move small furniture and roll up loose rugs. Leave the piano in place for the crew.

    Your questions, answered

Can you move a spinet or console?

Yes. Choose Upright in the quote form for a spinet, console or upright, and add a photo or model name so we can identify the instrument.

What if my upright has to go upstairs?

Tell us the floor, step count and staircase layout at both addresses. Add photos of turns and landings so access can be reviewed before the move is confirmed.

What is included in the $275 local starting price?

The first 10 miles and the first 3 steps at each end are included. The final quote depends on your route, access and selected moving date.

Tell us about your piano and route.

Tell us your piano type, pickup and delivery addresses, access and preferred date. We’ll review the details and confirm arrangements with you.
